This is the story of Evelyn B. Taboada, Dean of the College of Engineering and a professor of chemical engineering at the University of San Carlos in Cebu City. Dr. Taboada holds patents for technologies related to the treatment of fruit wastes. To name a few of her prestigious international awards, she was twice conferred the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) gold medal for investors and Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award from the ASEAN Green Award.
