Nanay and the Moon is a collection of poetry for children seven to twelve years old. Some of the poems talk about animals and pets doing a race, telling time, being a copycat. Other poems are about the many hats a parent has to wear in order to care for their child. There are also poems about how one's mood changes literally and figuratively.
There is also a suite of poems about requests and demands coming from unlikely subjects. The collection ends with a set of poems that tackles different aspects of rain as imagined by a child. Nanay and the Moon shows the wonder of being a kid marveling at the wonders of growing up.
