Angela Nina Ann Rivera Ingle is a conservation ecologist based in the Ateneo de Davao University, Davao City. She received her BS in Biology (magna cum laude) from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1985 and her MS and PhD in Natural Resources from Cornell University in 1990 and 2001 respectively. Dr. Ingle published A Key to the Bats of the Philippine Islands in 1992 which enabled scientists to identify 70 bat species indigenous to the Philippines. She is very active in wildlife conservation efforts around the country. Her interests have since included the Philippine eagle, forests and watersheds, and incorporating the natural environment into basic education, especially for those living in, or near, forests. Among her many awards is the Parker Gentry Award for Conservation from the Field Museum in Chicago, USA in 2012.
