Gemma Teresa T. Narisma is an associate professor of Physics at the Ateneo de Manila University. She also serves as the Associate Director for Research and Head of the Climate Systems Program of the Manila Observatory. She has a BS in applied Physics and an MS in Environmental Science from the University of the Philippines Diliman. She received her doctorate in Atmospheric Science from Macquarie University in Australia. Her research focuses on climate change and its effects on people. For her exceptional work, Dr. Narisma received the Outstanding Young Scientist Award for Atmospheric Science from the National Academy of Science and Technology of the Philippines in 2012. She was also named one of The Outsanding Women in Nation's Service from the TOWNS foundation in 2013.
